Small Ramblings of an Aimless Nature
I owe a photo post. Will get to that in the near future. Really.
So I hurt my right foot and I have no idea how. It's not as sore as it has been, but it's no damn pleasure either. If it's possible to mildly pull and/or sprain something near the top right part, near-ish the toes, then maybe that'd what I did..? All I know is that it's sore to the touch, makes stairs difficult, and I do believe I'd remember kicking something or dropping something on said foot. This is obnoxious more than anything. And while I really do dislike exercise, being forced to take time away from it is aggravating. Well, I suppose it's best to try and rest and take care of it, though... much as I dislike that sort of thing. (I've been partly convinced that it was not walking pneumonia, but regular pneumonia; I just would not lay the fuck down.) The general ache that is my body when the pollen count goes up has not been helping at all, but it's hard to argue with the weather steadily getting nicer again.
And so I told my body that it could fuck right off this morning (er, yesterday morning, now, but I'm living on RPG time here) and spent a good chunk of time doing various food prep. I "inherited" all of the stuff that would spoil while ex-Ma is away visiting people, so that was a hell of a lot of produce to wash, chop and store for salads or "whatever I can throw it in". Then there was Spanish rice to finish, an enormous pot of beans to cook (with turkey bacon, tomatoes, green chillies, onions, every possible color of bell pepper, and much in the way of spicy goodness), and the astonishing miracle of good store-bought strawberries to wash for on-the-fly strawberry shortcakes. And then there was that strawberry apple sauce I made from the old apple and the previous rather poor strawberries, which is very good on biscuits for breakfast. Am I complaining about all of this? Fuck no, I'm eating very well this week. The puppy also approves of everything but leafy greens. Can't blame her, really.
I finally picked up Birth By Sleep again. Yeah, it's only been... you know, forever. And I'd stopped in the middle of Rox--Ven's story, so I literally left the game smack dab in the middle to pay more attention to work. Well I've been paying attention to work, so hey. Gaming at night before I'm too tired to function anymore is rather nice. ...When I can manage, either physically or mentally. (Hands are not up to it right now, for instance.) I finally got to Aqua's story, so we'll see how long that takes. (And for those of you keeping track: yes, I was aware of any and all spoilers when the game came out in Japan, and yes, I still feel compelled to play the whole thing through to the end. Putting in the effort of getting the secret ending, though... unlikely, as usual. Isn't that what YouTube is for?) S-E will forever be the bad boyfriend.
Speaking of abusive relationships, a certain Barnaby plush and re-released KH Riku will be on their way to me soon. For I am a sucker. I hear KH3D Play Arts are on the way, though. So I am totally fucked. I can resist MGS1 Solid Snake, I can try to look away from Raiden, but... if there's another Riku, even with that stupid fucking hair... DAMMIT, S-E. Nomura, this is your doing.
Of course I'm still working. Always. I really should go back to simpler things that take less time, need less recovery time and that are much more easy for people to afford. ...Considering I'm almost out of wire and will run out of yarn soon enough, though, it's probably not so far away. Of course something else is sure to have my attention. That's the way it goes. Can't say I'm complaining about that, either.
I'm sure I'll be back with links and a project... eventually-soon. Or pictures at least.
